HUMATES
Humates are metal (mineral) salts of humic or fulvic acids. They are highly compressed, natural organic humus, the decayed remains of tropical rain forests which existed millions of years ago.
Humic Substances commonly occur within soil waters, compost peat, and in carbon containing minerla such as brown coals, low grade lignites, and leonardites. However, the concentration of humic substances in agriculture soils has reached seriously low levels.
Humate deposits were once buried deeply but have been exhumed to near-surface conditions and oxidized by bacterial action in exactly the same way as humus is formed in rich agricultural soils. Thus, HUMATES provide a concentrated source of naturally-occurring humus to your soil.
HUMATES HAVE HIGH HUMIC ACID AND FULVIC ACID CONTENT. It improves both water retention and soil structure which increases the nutrient absorption of plants. In effect, there is an improvement in root growth, plant quality, and crop yields. The most rapid and practical solution to improving soil fertility is the addition of humates, directly to the soil and as foliar fertilizers, as it is highly concentrated and much easier to apply than any other form of humic matter.
